Introduction

Social Networks Faces (SNFA) database is a face dataset of social networks, which reflects the real world combination of shared images from social networks. The database contains multiple types of facial images, including natural faces, faces with pet decoration, cosplay's faces and masked faces, which can be deemed the largest combinations of different types of facial images in one dataset itself. It is used for scientific research of face detection. The face images in the database are crawled from the Internet by Fujian Key Laboratory of Integrated Circuit Design and Measurement (Xiamen University) for educational and non-commercial use. The images in the database may be subject to copyright, we do not make them publicly available on our site. If you are a researcher who wishes to have a copy of the images for educational or non-commercial use, we may provide you access to the 56 photos used in our paper "Face Detection of Social Networks based on Orthogonalized and Modified Multi-task Cascaded Convolutional Networks" through our site.

Details

-The images are collected from social network Weibo and Instagram website.

-There are 13,236 photos in the dataset.

-There is at least one face in each picture.

-The images are kept with a minimal area of 300*300 pixels.

-The proportions of natural faces, faces with pet decoration, cosplay's faces and masked faces are 92.6%, 3.7%, 2.1%,1.6% respectively.

-The 56 public available photos are used in our paper for test experiments.

Acquisition conditions

1. The researcher shall use the Database only for non-commercial research and educational purposes.

2. All images of the SNFA dataset are obtained from the Internet which is not the property of Fujian Key Laboratory of Integrated Circuit Design and Measurement (Xiamen University). The Fujian Key Laboratory of Integrated Circuit Design and Measurement (Xiamen University) is not responsible for the content nor the meaning of these images and makes no representations or warranties regarding the database, including but not limited to warranties of non-infringement or fitness for a particular purpose.

3. Researcher accepts full responsibility for his or her use of the database and agrees not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the images and any portion of derived data.

4. The researcher may provide research associates and colleagues with access to the Database provided that they first agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

5. Please provide personal or group information to apply for the 56 photos in the SNFA database. When using these photos in SNFA dataset for academic research, the researcher must cite the following paper "Face Detection of Social Networks based on Orthogonalized and Modified Multi-task Cascaded Convolutional Networks".

6. Fujian Key Laboratory of Integrated Circuit Design and Measurement (Xiamen University) reserves the right to terminate the Researcher's access to the Database at any time.

7. Publication and Results Gathering: Authors of all reports and papers that use the Database are kindly requested to send copies of these publications to leexcjeffrey@xmu.edu.cnfor documentation and progress review.
